Support Congregation
VOLUNTEERS OF ALL FAITHS CHANGING LIVES
Family Promise’s program relies on a partnership of interfaith congregations and other volunteer groups to help local families facing homelessness. While parents work on their casework skills, families are provided housing security and other assistance, allowing them quality time for meals, storytimes and reading, homework, relaxation, and family fun time, like any family. Each day ends with the family all together, under one roof.
SUPPORT CONGREGATIONS
Our Support Congregations provide the support best suited to their member interests and availability. Many provide volunteers who prepare occasional special meals, tend gardens, and help maintain the lodging for our guests. Others support our program by collecting and donating supplies, gas and food gift cards, or cash from their congregations.

A Support Congregation team of volunteers may be involved with the following:
-
Cooking dinners for special occasions
-
Coordinating children’s crafts & activities
-
Donating necessary supplies
-
Landscape assistance
-
Preparing/cleaning a tiny home for a new family to move into
MANAGEABLE COMMITMENT

-
Each congregation supports families for just one day, four times a year

-
